A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to non-existent email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you will never miss messages because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a mistake. The disadvantage of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of junk email messages, but this issue can be resolved using anti-spam protection software. It’s also essential to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot forward incoming messages to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be extremely easy if you have a cloud service with our company. You can activate this feature through our powerful, yet user-friendly Email Manager, which is an integral part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your shared hosting account. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you have created shown alphabetically and on the right-hand side of each one there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly reveal to you whether a specific mailbox stores all the messages for a given domain or not. With one single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option whenever you wish. In case there is active email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you’ll receive a warning note from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-created Hepsia Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to set up a catch-all email mailbox without any efforts even if you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be next to each email address that you have created using your domain names in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. Since you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you have already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you decide that you don’t need this feature any longer, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
