When you have root-level access to a server, it means that you will have full control over it. In other words, you'll be able set up any server-side application no matter what the changes that it will make to the software setting on the server, and you'll be able to both access and update any file, which includes system files, and modify any settings. You can do this by connecting to the server as a root user who has full privileges to do all these things and to generate other users, which includes users who also have full privileges. This connection can be established using a web-based graphical interface or a Secure Shell console. For safety reasons, it is recommended that you create a different user for your everyday work and employ the root user only when you have to customize the server or to install software that may be needed by some script-driven application that you would like to run.

Full Root-level Access in VPS Servers

Our VPS servers include different levels of access, to give you the option to select the one you need, based on your level of experience and on what you'll need the server for. When you obtain a VPS without any Control Panel, you'll have full root-level access and you'll manage everything through a console, unless you install a third-party software instrument. The servers which are ordered with the DirectAdmin or the cPanel web hosting Control Panel also come with full root access, however most of the things that are linked to your web content can be done via a graphical interface and not a console. You can install various frameworks or media streaming software, for instance, without any problems. If you get the virtual website hosting server with the Hepsia Control Panel, you may still use a Secure Shell console to connect, but the root access is restricted. Yet, the Hepsia-equipped servers are the easiest to manage.

Full Root-level Access in Dedicated Servers

When you get one of the Linux dedicated service that we supply, you'll have full root-level access and you can do anything that you can't do with a shared hosting account - to change the server-side PHP settings, to set up frameworks or media streaming software, etcetera. You will be able to order the server without any web hosting Control Panel and do everything through a console, unless you set up a third-party tool, or you can order it with cPanel or DirectAdmin and use a web-based graphical interface to manage your sites and many system settings. In all three cases, you'll have full control of the machine. The significant amount of resources that you'll have makes our dedicated plans an excellent choice for any type of content that you would like to have. The servers which are ordered with the Hepsia Control Panel are easier to maintain, still the root access to such a server will be limited.
